Sleet consists of former members of Kalamazoo, MI's Twitch and Rollinghead. After packing out, crowd surfing, sing along crowds in Kalamazoo, Sleet decided to relocate to the entertainment mecca of sunny Los Angeles. Sleet is Chris Bryers (Vocals, Guitar), Kevin Oberlin (Guitar), Willie Axe (Drums), Mando Lopez (Bass).
Sleet combines layers of dynamic guitar hooks and melodies over an action packed rhythm section creating a superb suspension of sound. The melodic, and subtle harmonies of the vocals capture the listener, invoking melancholy memories. The sometimes aggressive moody music embodies the cold winters of Kalamazoo with the warm busy nights of Los Angeles.
The album, Volume Drops, was recorded by Jeff Forrest (Zappa, Blink-182, FEAR) at Doubletime studios in San Diego and mastered by John Golden.
To say anymore, fans of Radiohead, Shudder To Think, Teenage Fanclub and Cheap Trick should take note.
